Same as Last Year? In 2008, 57 Pismo Beach homes were sold from January 1, to July 31. There is very little difference between 2008 and 2009 unit sales. The difference is reflected in the actual price of the homes. The average price per square foot of homes that sold in the same time period in 2008 was $479.00. Today, the average price per square foot for homes that have sold is $435.00. This represents a decline in value of about 9%. If you are thinking about selling or buying a home, the square foot price is not a concrete method to determine value, but it can be a helpful guide.
